Topic: problem cpanel

cpanel.[free domains are not allowed] not working but http://cpanel.main-hosting.com works fine why ?

INFO: Your domain is not yet pointing to our server, so services such as FTP, file manager, website builder, email and others will not work. Please set our name servers for your domain and wait 24 hours. You can find our name servers at "Configuration -> Nameservers"

Re: problem cpanel

The answer is clear tongue Your domain is not yet pointing to their servers. If your using a [free domains are not allowed], your going to have to go and set the name servers to ns1.main-hosting.com, ns2.main-hosting.com, ns3.main-hosting.com, and ns4.main-hosting.com.

You cna also create your own child name servers and point the name servers to the selected IP's that YH has provided to you. Then you can point your domain to ns1.[free domains are not allowed], etc. If you have already pointed your domain to YH, it may take up to 48 hours for the DNS to update.

Re: problem cpanel

I did well now  have to wait 48 hours to working my cpanel.[free domains are not allowed]?

Re: problem cpanel

Your domain is not pointing to our nameservers at the moment, so services such as FTP, File Manager, Website Builder, E-mail (and others) will not work correctly. You can find our nameservers at the "Accounts -> Details" section. Please mind that DNS might take up to 24 hours to propagate when the change is submitted.

I'm quite curious about this. Once you set up this child nameservers, can you host the domain you used to set the child nameservers with the once you've set up above with [free domains are not allowed]?

I know its possible with tlds but don't know about [free domains are not allowed]

Re: problem cpanel

You can have your own nameservers with tk domain even if it is free, there is some little bug in writing the ip but can be done easily

Re: problem cpanel

Ok. My doubt was, looking at the screen shot provided, dot tk gives three options for dns set up. You can either do forwarding of domain, use dot tk nameservers or a custom nameserver. So how do you host your website on eg. [free domains are not allowed] used above. Do you have to change the nameserver again?
And if so, will the child nameserver still work?

hold on up to 48h
